Corporate Ownership and Control: Updated Editorial Board

We are glad to present new members of the Corporate Ownership and Control journal’s Editorial Board who decided to join the distinguished team of experts in the field of corporate governance and related issues to facilitate quality of the review process and overall level of our Journal.

These experts are:

Martijn Cremers, Professor of Finance, Mendoza College of Business, University of Notre Dame, USA. Martijn Cremers joined the University of Notre Dame as Professor of Finance in 2012. Prior to that, he was a faculty at Yale School of Management from 2002 – 2012 after obtaining his PhD in finance from the Stern School of Business at New York University. His academic work has been published in top academic journals such as the Journal of Finance, the Review of Financial Studies and the Journal of Financial Economics. His research has also been covered in newspapers like the Wall Street Journal, the Financial Times and numerous others. His areas of expertise are the following: Investment Management, Corporate Governance, Mutual Funds, Pension Funds, and Executive Compensation.

Erik Strauß, Prof., Dr., Chair of Accounting and Control, Reinhard-Mohn-Institute for Management and Corporate Governance, Witten/Herdecke University, Germany. Erik Strauß started his academic career at the Institute of Management Accounting and Control (IMC) at WHU-Otto Beisheim School of Management and wrote his Ph.D. thesis about „The Emergence of Management Control Systems – A Governance Perspective“. Besides his Ph.D., Erik Strauß has been the Managing Director at the Center for Controlling and Management (CCM), conducting benchmark analyses about management accounting-issues in German DAX30-companies. His research focuses on management accounting-systems in family firms and start-ups, while also being interested in the influence of new technologies on management accounting and related change processes. Erik Strauss has published widely in renowed national and international journals such as Management Accounting Research, Journal of Management and Governance, Journal of Accounting and Organizational Change, Accounting History, Schmalenbach Business Review or Journal of Management Control.
