Conference in Rome: closing remarks
On the 27th of February 2018 the International conference "CORPORATE GOVERNANCE, OWNERSHIP AND CONTROL" took place at Sapienza University of Rome with the organizational participation of Department of Management led by Prof. Salvatore Esposito De Falco and Virtus Global Center for Corporate Governance. The conference was also supported by Alberto Pastore, President of SIMA, Italy and sponsors: Morrow Sodali and Pianoforte Group (Caprisa).
Participants from Europe, Asia, Africa and Oceania gathered at the conference venue on an unusually chilly and snowy for Rome day to discuss relevant issues of corporate governance, ownership and control, share their most recent research and come up with the solutions of the existing academic and practical problems.
Key-note speeches were delivered by Alessandro Zattoni, Professor of Strategy, Department of Business and Management, LUISS, Italy and Cesario Mateus, Associate Professor in Finance and Banking, Business School, UniverAfterwardeenwich, London, UK.
Afterwards, the conference was divided into parallel sessions connected to the various problems of corporate governance, reporting, regulation, family business, banking etc.
The conference was concluded with the roundtable Round Table “Stewardship, Engagement and Activism: New Perspective for Corporate Governance” sponsored By Morrow Sodali. Top executives of the leading companies and institutions were speakers at the roundtable.
