With most bright hopes and expectations about 2018 we wish you Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
The team of the publishing house “Virtus Interpress” would like to address our best wishes to our large international network of experts in corporate governance. We hope that year 2018 will be successful for you and open the new horizons of cooperation.
We`d like to mentioned that the 2017 year was very fruitful and eventful for us, that is the result of intensive work of our editorial team, network of Editors, reviewers, partners and colleagues all over the world.
At the beginning of the year new journal titled “Corporate Governance and Sustainability Review” was launched in cooperation with the University of Greenwich (London, United Kingdom). During 2017 our editorial team has already published 2 issues of the journal.
In March we have signed the agreement with Portico to preserve content of the Virtus Interpress journals.
In May the international Conference “Corporate Governance and Sustainable Development – Industries, Higher Education, NGOs” was held in Hong Kong with the joint organizational participation of the Centre for Corporate Sustainability and Innovations (CCSI), Hang Seng Management College.
In June the editorial team of publishing house in cooperation with the Sapienza University of Rome launched one more journal - Corporate Governance and Organizational Behavior Review. The journal considers the interaction of corporate governance as a system with an external environment in contrast to the corporate governance as a system itself.
In October 2017 the Editorial teams of two journals: Risk Governance and Control: Financial Markets & Institutions; Journal of Governance and Regulation transfered two mentioned journals to the complete Open Access model. We hope that this step will help even further to increase the visibility of the papers published in our journals, increase their academic impact and level of citations.
On the 26th of October the International conference "Corporate governance and company performance: exploring the challenging issues" took place at the heart of one of the oldest cities in the world at the beautiful campus of ISEG Lisbon. About 50 experts from 20 countries of the world that represented leading universities and organizations of Europe, USA, Asia, Africa and Middle East gathered with the aim to take part in the conference.
In November 2017 publishing house introduced a book focused on the national CG challenges and industrial CG challenges as well titled "Corporate Governance: New Challenges and Opportunities". This book represents a collaborative effort of the contributors from 18 countries (the UK, the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, France etc.).
Next year we will arrange several interesting international events connected to the issues of corporate governance: conferences in Rome (February 27, 2018), one more conference in Europe (autumn 2018, exact info about the event will appear at the web-site in the beginning of upcoming year) and will be happy to see members of our network at these events.
We are proud to be part of such a great network of devoted experts and will continue developing it next year.
