Virtus Interpress joined ORCID initiative
Publishing house “Virtus Interpress” continues incorporating best academic publishing practices into its operations. Starting with 2018 we started asking authors of the manuscripts under consideration in our journals to provide their ORCID for our publication workflows. Recently we have completed the process of aligning our technical facilities with the requirements of ORCID and now we have an opportunity to collect ORCID IDs of the authors via ORCID API.
ORCID provides a digital name – or iD – that uniquely and persistently identifies researchers and other contributors to the research effort. By connecting this iD to different research activities and affiliations across multiple research information platforms, ORCID helps enable recognition and reduce the reporting burden for researchers. It also enhances the discovery process and lays the foundation for trust in a digital research environment.
The authors can connect their ORCID ID to the Virtus Interpress publishing system using the button here.
Publishing house “Virtus Interpress” has also signed ORCID open letter and was officially recognised by ORCID.
