Virtus Scholar Platform monthly statistics
We are pleased to introduce the report on the main indicators our Virtus Scholar Statistics Platform. This platform provides the key statistical data of papers published in our journals. We consider that the researches are to be shared freely in the scholarly sphere. It is an important factor for our authors with regard to the paper’s citation, views and readability it etc. Also, this will enable the theoretical results which will be practically applied in corporate governance. Our Platform Statistics is a part of our open access policy.
The editorial team is glad to present the results of our analysis concerning the views and downloads of the papers published in our journals last month.
The statistics is divided into 2 parts: Article Views Statistics (views data counts starting from March 2017) and Geographical Statistics (downloads data counts starting from August 2018).
Firstly, according to the total views of the papers published in our journals became in:
- the last month – 17 778;
- the current year – 198 331;
- all the time – 501 928.
As a result of the calculations, the number of views per 1 paper is:
- the last month – 5.2;
- the current year – 57.6;
- all the time – 145.7.
Thus, there was a small increase over the previous month in the numbers of view papers and per 1 paper on 11 % accordingly (for the current year), and total views it go up on 4 % for all the time. Other indicators more or less remained at last month’s level.
Second, according to the Platform Statistics, the total downloads of the papers published in our journals became in:
- the last month – 3 770;
- the total time – 12 376.
As a result of the calculations, the number of downloads per 1 paper is:
- the last month – 1.09;
- the total time – 3.59.
Hence, the total number of downloads of papers published in our journals increased by 46 % for the whole time, compared to the previous months.
It is important to note that geographically our journal papers have been downloaded to read by scholars from all continents. Last month, papers were downloaded from 121 countries and the total time – from 137 countries. The number of total countries has increased by 11 % (for the last month) and on 18 % (for all the time), compared with the previous month.

Currently, the dynamics of the journal views and downloads of papers published in our journals are improving. The statistical data and our calculations confirm it. All data based on the Platform Statistics and internal database.
